Dana's legal career includes service as an LA County District Attorney, a Criminal Defense Attorney in Los Angeles, work with a Civil Firm, and time as a Glendale Court Commissioner. She has also served as Bellingham City Prosecutor, Whatcom County Prosecutor, and Skagit County Prosecutor.

Dana sponsors teams in memory of her son Michael at the Boys and Girls Club each basketball season. His love for Kobe, the Lakers, and basketball was over the moon.
